The Method

“I love Los Angeles. I love Hollywood. They’re beautiful. Everybody’s plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic.”

On first read Andy Warhol’s famous quote, seems to pretty much sum up what most people in contemporary society want to become: Unforgettable, perfect, imperishable like plastic.
But hey, isn’t there a sarcastic undertone ? Doesn’t it also stand for what we all want to try to avoid: Being shaped to the consumer-world’s liking, victim of mass production, stenciled without the chance for originality. Warhol’s quote could be the grotesque motto of today: Take it with irony, fight it or support it and let it rule.
Each reader has to decide for himself!

I want to provide a platform for cultural and artistic information, encouraging to go out and see, experience, feel and make art and art related things.

Formost this is a collection of my writings on contemporary art. Let’s see where this goes from here…
